Tasmanian Election - on the hustings in Franklin

Our morning commenced bright and early, signwaving near the Tasman Bridge with the Franklin Liberal team.

After vital coffees, the late morning was spent doorknocking and letterboxing in Bellerive. The reception was overwhelmingly positive, and residents were keen to talk about their approval of Will Hodgman and the Liberals. Coincidently, many residents were unhappy about the potential impact of Labor’s promised ban on poker machines - being from the ACT, Labor's ban on pokies in Tasmania is laughable given that in Canberra, they own and profit from the Canberra Labor Clubs, some of the biggest pokie venues in the ACT.

After a quick bite, it was back into letterboxing around Kingston, with a fantastic view of the beach. The late afternoon consisted of sign waving on the eastern shore for Will Hodgman, with the ‘honk for Hodgman’ slogan going down well with the locals.

It was an all round productive day involving good views, good receptions and of course a few Cascade beers.
